Well I dont know maybe its because its a college sports message board, its essentially all white people, its closely related to the state university, and its owned by a white dude. He doesnt want it here and I dont blame him

If I wanted to go drop N bombs, I could go hit up Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any of the other left leaning shite sites.

Funny how all those liberal tolerant sites allow it to be used like its nothing but the dumb southern site full of racist rednecks doesnt.

It's his choice as the owner you fricking putz. God damn. How many ways does it need to be explained that this place's norms do not speak for all of society?

It’s fricking sad how infantile our society has become in letting words impact life so much.

Because the fricking rules are what they are because of societies norms. Chicken wants ad money and for people not to think of this place as a bigoted hellhole.

In this specific instance, the person using the word has the ability to seriously frick over someone’s life.

And yet I could use all sorts of other slurs here, just not that one because people like you act like that slur is someone how worse than all others. Yall have no consistency at all. It hilarious how blind you are to that simple fact.

Apparently Judge Odinet was not on the bench this morning and an ad hoc was in her place sounding the docket.

Words are essential to convey thoughts, attitudes, and ideas. Words can and should have significant impact at times. In certain contexts-The Constitution, wedding vows, etc. - they have extraordinary impact. In some other contexts they are meaningless.

Here, someone that holds the liberty and property of citizens in her hands, was allegedly recorded casually dropping the n bomb a few times. She may not be a racist, but the black people whose property and liberty are in her hands can rightfully question whether their skin color might affect her judgment of them.

For similar reasons to not allowing racial slurs one would imagine.

My point was meant to be that we have an irrational fear of specific words individually, devoid of context.

In some other contexts they are meaningless.

Context no longer matters for the word in question in this thread, according to our society. We have countless examples of people simply quoting another person who have gotten in trouble. You can’t even say words that sound similar to THE word without repercussions.

LOL. Yea Im sure the 10s of thousands of people that have worked for these companies couldnt write a script to not allow certain words on their site.
