What happened to Chris Nakamoto?
Did he get reprimanded for his work on Port Allen mayor Dee Dee Slaughter, or something else?

His beat is east of the Atchafalaya. We need our own Nakamoto over here though.

Brian Pope looks like he wears jeans with bedazzled back pockets to Scandals.

Brian Pope owns a physical copy of every Florida Georgia Line album.

What the frick does a Marshall really do anyway? Are they really needed?
Most important thing they do is serve city court orders and enforce them. Things like evictions, property seizures, etc. They also do all of the court security for city court. They really are needed but somehow the office has become a little kingdom in every Parish in LA. Given my choice of elected offices in LA, I would want to be a City Marshal in one of the major urban areas. They have the budget, manpower and authority of a small SO but no one watches over them. Classic do whatever you want job.

.I mean if you only knew the payroll and expenditures of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office you'd be floored. Well at least as of about 5 years ago anyway.

The people and the local media need to hold them accountable.
The good news: These charges are the result of local media attempting to hold him accountable.
The bad: It wasn't the "traditional" media. It was a small "independent" paper. The media is dead in this country.

He'll plead down. It's bad press for everyone involved when someone with a badge is convicted of lying under oath.
