ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Body camera footage released by Orange City police shows a carjacking suspect struggling with officers and firefighters in front of Walmart while she is wearing only a bra and underwear. Police said Sharnett Barton, 30, carjacked a woman in Sanford around 5 p.m. Monday. She then drove that stolen vehicle to the Walmart in Orange City, where she crashed it into a concrete pole in front of the store.
According to witnesses, the whole incident started in Sanford when Burton ran into the home of a friend on W. 13th Street screaming that someone was trying to kill her. She then took off her dress and jumped through the front window of the home.
