Do we currently use neutron beam imaging today?
All the time in all kinds of research and industry.
Not as much in medicine. Neutrons and gammas would image your body just fine. The problem is that the beam energies are so high that the margin of error between a safe and useful scan and a damaging or lethal dose might be very small or non-existent.
As far as I know, though, researchers are still researching the possibility of using them on living things. What a neutron scan images is different than what x-ray or magnetic based imaging images because of what absorbs each type of particle. So, neutron scans can be complimentary or show structures that other types of scans can't see.. if they don't kill you, that is.

Was GE very well-known for anything other than being a diversified, “hands in almost everything” giant company? I don’t think that would make for an entertaining movie plot...
GE Board: “So, we can make and do anything, right?”
GE President: “Yep”
GE Board: “Ok, let’s just do that”
*anddd scene*
...but I absolutely could be wrong in this.
But, you have to admit, a “Kodak” movie/biopic would/could be epic.

IIRC, Fuji pioneered the “digital camera” when Kodak was burying its head in the sand with its “disposal cameras” often used on tables at weddings and the younger generation because of their affordability and ease of the film development.
I actually found an old disposable a few years ago and had to go to at least 4-5 different Walgreens/CVS to find one that could even develop it.
Some really great memories from the roll that I had developed though #worthit

They brought it to the University of Chicago and "shot" it in a basement lab. They created a pinhole that penetrated 8' of concrete
The thought was to use the gun to target ICBM's but it was decided to use other technologies that were far less experimental.
Sounds like the concept worked. Makes me wonder what they're using the tech for now.
Also awesome they tested it in the home of the Chicago Pile moment. Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing!

All I need to know is if that fricker can produce 1.21 gigawatts of power.
