Anxiety and Panic Disorder are different things. A person can have anxiety issues without having panic attacks.

All it takes is some gym time and surrounding yourself with good friends. I used to have a similar issue and now I feel on top of the world most days.

My dad has just now developed pretty severe anxiety out of nowhere. 50 years old.
He has been off and on puking almost every day/not eating for 7 months now. Several doctors, several medications, etc. - nothing has helped.
It seems like he has been okay the past week, but too soon to say for sure.

I honestly think exercising and eating healthy plays a huge role in mental health. Whenever I become more lazy and don't exercise as much and eat like total shite, my anxiety pops up much easier and more debilitating.
Also, while alcohol can help while you're drinking, the next day can be brutal. A hangover is the worst thing in the world for a person suffering from anxiety.

Possibly.. but my dad doesn't drink and is a health freak. So you just never know. He and my mom jog 4 miles every night after dinner.

Man, I hope it works out for you. I'll add that I truly didn't want to go the divorce route, mainly because of our two young kids. However, I weighed out how we affected the kids while we were together and how things could be if we were not together and I chose option b. It was hell at first and I caught a lot of flak, but in the long run, it was the best decision. When I left, it's like the crutch left and she learned to face her demons. Good luck to you.

I've got anxiety and before I was diagnosed and treated, I would always feel like I was going to faint and that feeling would scare me even more and I was constantly going to the doctor. After months of this I had a very bad panic attack and at the ER the docs gave me a mild sedative. After that it took almost a year to get my meds right and eliminate the sedatives. All is well now. I also used to think anxiety and depression were bull shite. I was wrong and have sympathy for those that struggle with it.
