I drank many a bottle of K&B brand rotgut when I was younger. I don't remember ever going to a Woolworth's, their glory days were well before my time. If anyone is ever looking for a greasy spoon burger in Monroe Aron's Pharmacy on N18th has a cool '50s style lunch counter.

My first job at 18 was in the 90's working at K&B in the Hammond mall while going to SLU. It was a pretty cool place to work actually. I remember they sold a crazy amount of liquor. We were always trying to stop shoplifters that would try to run out the back entrance that led into the mall area. The best was being able to walk down to Morrisons cafeteria in the mall on our lunch break.
