Almost done with a DIY project...pretty wild, but hey it's my damn house.

So, I took some glass shelves I found in the yard and broke them to fit around my concrete countertops. They are 4 inches high and I back painted them. Oh frick it, I'm not explaining all this shite. Made some concrete in one section and put a custom mosaic up. Still need to grout the mosaic, but I have to pry the thinset out of a bunch of places. Look at the photos if you want. I need to figure out how to dull the sealant I used, and ideas?

Color got a little fricked up on the blue.

A little too much color for me but to each their own. Looks like you have spent A LOT of time and hard work on the project!

Those tiles are scrap glass. They're not as crazy as it seems.

I thought you made them with that glass from the first pics. I'm confused, I guess.

I was going to explain everything, but it would have been a novel. I've been wanting to do this for years and now it's damn near done. I still have a days work getting the tin set out from between the scrap glass mosaic.

I found this statement very odd. You have glass shelves randomly laying around the yard?

Fine steel wool. Probably better to do it wet.

Tape off the walls, counters, and glass, or just be careful?

Looks like a decent job but your resale just went through the floor. To each his own I guess. I did the backsplash in our kitchen and bathroom and there is a great feeling that comes with doing quality work yourself, not to mention the $ saved

I don't know what they were, I just found a couple of stacks under the house after Katrina.
