I thinks it really weird and almost creepy that anyone could think a peck on the lips between a child and a parent as anything other than a sweet sign of affection
If it's just not your thing, i get it. But to those posting that it's weird thinking of it in the sexual way, my very 1st thought was to think how creepy it is for them to think that way.

If the kid is semi-grown up then it can be pretty weird imo. Don't let opinions of others dictate what you do, but at the same time you need to be aware of how others perceive you. My main question is, why on the lips? Why not just on the cheek?

And I thought I was done with this thread...I know this reading comprehension thing is tough for some of you folks.
Kissing on the lips is widely considered a "sexual act". Is it not?
This is why we don't run around kissing each other's wifes on the lips. Even if it's just to show some affection.
Nobody said they were looking at in a sexual way, but the act of kissing others on the lips as an adult is predominately done in a sexual manner. This is why most people stop doing this with their loved ones when they reach an age of understanding. As adults, most people show each other affection by hugging and kissing on the cheeks.
Is it wrong, nah, but many find it strange. If you don't, good for you. You're enlightened well beyond my closed mind.

If anyone finds this odd then you need to look in the mirror. It's disturbing to me that people would find this weird in any way. I have 2 daughters 5 and 6, and a son who is almost 2. I will continue kiss them on the lips and not think anything other than the sweet gesture it is.
I'm a grown arse man and I kissed my dad until the day he died. Not once did I find it odd.

Ok. For every other person in the world it would be considered a sexual act. My apologies I Didn't clarify

This isn't true. It's only a sexual act to you when you read that into it. It doesn't change that it's actually NOT.
So when I kissed my 82 year old grandma a month before she died in basically her deathbed and told her I loved her, that was sexual?
Cmon man.

Why because we are both guys and you are hinting that me showing affection to my father who I loved dearly and was my best friend is somehow a gay sexual act now?
Who is the odd one here? It's you man.

a peck? no
I don't consider a peck to be a sexual act, even between adults
I consider it a sign of affection
I don't do sexual acts in front of other people with my wife. I'll give her a peck on the lips though in front of other people.

I dont have kids, but I dont have anything wrong with it. Personally, just how I am with my nieces/nephews, Ill do it while they still toddlers/babies, but when they grow up to be school age it will probably phase out.
Side note, my mom still likes to kiss me on the lips. I try to avoid that as much as possible. Does she know how much vagina these lips have been in?

Well hell...I can only say that it is extremely rare for me to see folks kissing their children of age on the lips.
So y'all can fight the good fight and call it normal, but it sure as hell isn't something that is widely displayed in public...and there's a reason for that whether y'all want to admit it or not.
I understand it, but I find it odd. That is all.

You have a shitload of posts in this thread trying to convince us that you're normal but methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Yes, Salmon is a hippy. He thinks everybody is family. That doesn't count.
