What brand are they? I see a guy with a trailer pulled by a truck selling king cakes and was wondering the brand. They always have someone in line

Bought a Haydel’s last year and was really surprised that the quality was not good at all. It was one of the filled king cakes and looked to have been injected with the filling here and there but not everywhere.

You are mistaken. Haydels does not put filling in their king cakes at all. They use it as a topping because their king cakes are braided, as is the traditional way to make king cakes, and cannot be stuffed.

It's def Haydel's. I think they have a pop up on Magazine St too.

I think the only place that you can get Manny Randazzos other than the shop is at some of the Fleurty girl stores.
Some of her stores have those and some have Haydel's

They're one of the better king cakes available.

Yeah, haydels is my favorite king cake. It may not be to her taste, but that has nothing to do with quality.

I used to like Haydel's, but their quality just keeps dropping. I haven't had a single fresh one this year. My wife teaches and a kid brings one each week, none of the handle's ones are good. They are all dried out. I've bought them all times of the day and from their different locations, even the main store. I think they sell too many now and started producing for the rush too far in advance.

I don't see why not. On my last trip home from Wisconsin I brought a bunch of cheese and sausage in my carry on and TSA had no issues with it.

As said before it is Haydel. Skip their king cake and ask for a Kajun Kringle Cakes. They had some there when I went the other day.

But yea, just drive a bit further down and go to Canseco's for a Nonna Randazzo king cake.
