Well of course. Most of us only have regular polls not back yard water parks.

Holy shite. So....they don't get a lot of rain, and I imagine they have to add water to that frequently.

I would not care. Just like I don’t care about her.

It’s weird how people think I am taking up for them. I am not. I find that family annoying and the fact that a large majority of Americans are interested in them means we are closer to this than ever before…….

Even the bolded is weird to me. Strive for indifference. These people shouldn't affect your emotions at all.

Over how long A year? A month? A week? And is each person assigned a limit or a residence? If residence, do they consider how many people live or work there or is it all on who owns the house? (I’m knighting for Sly, not Kim btw). I imagine celebrities have huge staffs, both live-in and 9-5ers. We all love to hate a good hypocrite, but that tweet doesn’t give enough info to tickle my outrage button.

There is an article linked in the tweet.
quote:

Among the addresses that received notices was an $18-million Hidden Hills property, listed under the name of former NBA star Wade, that exceeded its allocated water budget in June by more than 1,400%, or 90,000 gallons. That was an improvement over May, when the property exceeded its budget by 489,000 gallons — more than any other customer.
quote:

Also notified for excessive use was an $18-million, 2.26-acre Hidden Hills property owned by Stallone and his wife, model Jennifer Flavin. The property in June used about 533% more than its allocated budget — 230,000 excess gallons. That was an increase from 195,000 excess gallons in May.
quote:

Additionally, two properties listed under a trust that The Times has confirmed is associated with Kim Kardashian received notices: her Hidden Hills home and its adjacent lot, which together exceeded their June budget by about 232,000 gallons.
This is monthly.

These people use 100s of thousands of gallons of water monthly.

Forreal. An average tub is around 60/70 gallons. Fill that half way and we’re at 30. How is your family(4 people) just in body/water contact alone not over 22?

Ya nasty.

Per day or per billing period?

My bills are typically 8-9k gallons every 2 months. So, call it 4-4.5k per month for 4 people. That comes to 150 gallon average per day, or 37.5 gallons per day per person.

I am sure we could figure out ways to conserve more water. I.e., don't let the kids take bubble baths every time, full loads in the washing machine/dish washer, don't have the sink on full blast the entire time while washing dishes, only flush once a day ... But the poster I was responding to claimed they were using 22 gallons a day for 4 people.

Average shower head is 2.5 gallons per minute. That's 4 showers in less than 9 minutes each day

Did you just pull that number out of your arse, or did you actually look at your bill? My family of 4 averages 4-5 times that.

Same thing I though when I read that post. Teen girls will burn through 40 gallons every time they take a shower. Then there's clothes and dishes to be washed, toilets to be flushed, probably some plants to be watered, teeth to be brushed, etc.

And nothing will happen because they're not held to same standard as "regular folk"
