Next time you go there go to El Siboney. Very good Cuban food.
They have a world of beer, which has a corporate feel but the owner is very cool and she keeps some great beer in the bar.
It went out of business about 2 years ago. Nothing has worked in that location.
El Sinoney to me is like eating cafeteria food with no seasoning in a cafeteria. Has all the atmosphere of a hospital.
I 100% agree the restaurant scene in KW is severely lagging. I'll take NOLA any day for the food. In KW your not likely to get shot going out to eat.

Uh...... Beach n babes......
No beaches in Key West, not many in the Keys really. Not many babes, and the ones who are from there have leathery skin.

The beaches are beautiful but you need a boat to get to them from the mainland. The pieces of sand around the hotels and the state park are for people who don't know about the beaches.
KW certainly attracts an older crowd. The island isn't littered with twenty-something's living the beach bum lifestyle. The closest major college is 200 miles away.
The babes there are in town aren't on Duval or at the state park, their at Snipes, Marvin, or Boca Chica on the weekends.

Hemingway house?
What is the point??
Photos of old man with famous friends?
Dude was a bad arse. Noble & Pulitzer prize winning author who loved to fish and drink. Plus the house is pretty historical. Was originally built by one of the wealthy families that basically founded Key West. Hemmingway lived there before he was really famous for writing. Was only able to really afford it because he only married rich women. At the time, he pretty much did what he wanted off of his wife's family's dime. I've just always like Hemmingway, so it was pretty cool to go there. He lived such a cool life that I can overlook the fact that he was pretty much a communist.
