Someone makes that same boneheaded comment in every Kanye thread.

I honestly have a better opinion of him after watching that. That resonated and seemed like it was genuine. I have always kind of written Kanye off as a narcissistic douche, which he can be at times, but I gained a little more respect for him and understood where he is coming from a little better after listening to that.

Seriously though...that dude is why "creativity" is no longer creative. He talks out of his arse with no filter and people substitute that as being creative. He calls himself a genius, therefore people believe he's a genius. I would love to see an actual IQ test from this douche.

Lyrically and musically he is talented...socially he's nothing special, just an attention whore who has figured out that the more you tell the general public how much better you are than them, the more willing they are to accept it.

It would have to be tough to deal with that level of fame every day. I'm sure it gets old. But he seems to be conflicted about the whole thing. He seems to get that fame and fortune have a price tag on them.

He has made millions of dollars and then goes on a rant stemming around how he could change the world through his clothing line if Mark Zuckerberg would float him a 100 mil.

He's not anything special...people mistake those 8 minute rants that you could find in a 5th grade brainstorming session as being super creative.

He's changing things, making a difference. He is at the forefront of human evolution in this century. We would do well to heed his words. He comes into contact with higher quality people than us on a daily basis.

These people don't get Kanye and probably never will. He exists on a higher plane than most of us do.

I think he gets confused by being famous and not providing a basic need to society. Like Kardashian, she is in "demand" but she doesn't provide any real value to the individual outside of some entertainment. I actually feel a bit sorry for Kanye because he clearly has a really small world view even though he's plastered all over the world. I would give him props if he just left it at him being a producer/entertainment icon. Not everyone succeeds at understanding the needs of society.

Same. I actually felt some pity for him.

I just think he lives in a world that just will never allow him to see how things really are (i.e., his clothing will not change the world in the way he thinks). I guess thats the price you pay for marrying a girl famous for a sex tape and....just walking around and doing nothing.

He definitely is about to have somebody killed. Dude make Scientologists seem normal. There is a weird delusional, narcissistic, maniacal, malevolence to him.

I just think he's autistic or something along those lines. He's a genius producer but he seems to operate on a 10 year old level.

Old Kanye was awesome. His music was great and he had a humble demeanor. It was when his mother passed away he started to change. Honestly I believe he didn't give himself time to grieve. It was about a couple weeks after the VMA incident went down
