Not the point at all.

These purists are douchebags, and you're being a douchebag in this thread, so that is the point.

There’s nothing to lose. This is all opinion. I’m just tired of arguing with a bunch of Gen Z’ers.

What’s next? Are we gonna have smokers with built in screens with your Instagram feed so you can go 5 minutes without getting bored?

As a communications purist, I am appalled and embarrassed for you that you're using a computer to communicate. I personally only use papyrus and write in cuneiform. But I sometimes get shite from the guys that spray red powder out of reeds to make outlines of their hands on cave walls. Those guys are such dicks.

actually, he should go back to being a single celled organism living near vents in the ocean floor, surviving on the heat and minerals erupting therefrom.

Are you firing up your kiln and making your own charcoal?

I made fresh lump charcoal last weekend in an old metal trashcan.

Don’t get me wrong though. I probably own more grills and smokers than 99% of the population.

I have a Joe with an aftermarket fan (Gizmo) and aftermarket wifi temp probes.

There is some comfort if people are coming over for lunch, to being able to use the Joe and cook overnight and have 2 pork butts off the grill by 10am to properly rest for lunch.

I still use my Weber Kettkes (if you can only own 1 grill, I highly recommend the original Weber. If you have a little more dough get a PL (simply awesome)

I’m on a competition bbq team. I smoke something most every weekend. I’ve been doing it 20+ years.

I still learn things from both experienced and novice smokers.

Yall need to relax. Use what equipment you want.

Don’t let “Super bbq Bro” intimidate you.

This reminds me of how mad my great grandmother (no pics) got when her friends all started using those “new fangled” gas stoves instead of wood burners like she had. Those bitches!

Listen, I’m working on just the right product for you. The Crawdad5000. It’s a Wi-Fi connected crawfish boiler made just for the next generation. The propane self ignites when you click “like” on 5 of our Instagram posts. The built in screen allows you to scroll your tik toks mid-cook, so just chillax and enjoy your snickers-peppermint-spinach vegan friendly IPA. Time for seasoning? Don’t worry, an Uber driver will be there soon to season to perfection!

Don’t forget to smash the like button and subscribe!

oohh wow....

But if you want me to go into some detail of one of my projects, my electric controller i designed and built for my home brewery brings water to a boil in less than half the time of a propne burner.... I have thought about fabricating a pot and basket to allow for the heating element at the bottom of the pot...

If i do that all ill need to do is connect my brewery controller to a esp32 then ill be able to control the crawfish pot with my phone!

If you want to continue to be a douche in this thread i can continue to make an arse out of you.

ETAL dont forget to only use a piece of string and a chicken neck to catch your crawfish... you dont want to buy buying crawfish from a farmer that used and computer controlled outboard motor, or a automated crawfish grader and sacking machine.

If you use an oven do you not have cooking skills, because the oven kept itself at a constant temperature?

No, there's not a lot of cooking skills in putting a pizza or roast in the oven. There are skills in the prep work, but a big part of the skills associated with smoking are during the heat process. Not prep.

Especially if youre sooper kewl new Kamado has the computer and temperature probe it can probably adjust temp, too.

What’s your obsession with social media likes? I gotta be honest, it’s weird.

ETA: I just went back and looked at CarRaRod’s social media and don’t see any cooking posts, smoked meats, crustaceans, or otherwise.
