Have you seen his latest, Strange Times? Because I thought that was hilarious.

I mean take it up with Brendan Schaub & Theo Von. They were the two that let the cat out of the bag on a live stream.

This. I guess I've become a bigger fan of his podcast work as well. Was shocked at how boring his last standup special was to me.

His friends standup (Theo, Bret, Burr, Ari & Segura) standup are light years better than his. Joe's podcast game is pretty strong at times. But those dudes are slowly creeping up on his content level.

Ari is underrated as a standup. I like Tom's older stuff better than what he is doing now.
Never cared for Theo much, though.
Bill Burr may be the best around these days, and is one of a handful who's writing has progressed along with the growth of other avenues of their careers.
For 100% non-political comedy I really like Dan Cummins. But in a world where I have heard multiple comedians say that they are afraid to say certain things on stage, Doug Stanhope is the greatest.
For Stanhope, there is a lot to be said about being independent and not overextending yourself. It seems that the only people he answers to are himself and Bingo. He relies on no industry types who can take it all away from him.

The reason is that it's not funny

Progressive Outrage Culture Agitprop is all about keeping society on BOIL. Some people just want to have a good life and chill out with a few laughs and not create problems and point fingers at their neighbors for Incorrect Thought and Incorrect Speech. Burning witches and books gets old after a while, even for self-professed Democratic voters.
