Just renewed driver's license here in Arkansas

Birthday in about a week, three score and five years. I'm informed that a four year license is no longer and an eight year license is issued, $40.
I see all kind of wrong with that. No one my age should be getting a license for that length of time. I think at some point older people should have to take a required driving test. People usually running thru the front window of a donut shop and going the wrong way on the interstate are the older folks(drunks too on the highway).
One thing I've learned over the last 5-6 years, I'm not as invincible as I once was. Taking that test to me is not only for your sake but mine too.

Eight year licenses are great. 70 an up should require a driving test. It won't happen because all people 70 and up have to do is bitch and vote.

I don't have to renew my license until I turn 65

Who cares. Until they start making you take a driving test to get it renewed it doesn't matter if it's 4 years or 8.
And the hearing and vision test is bogus. I started naming colors on the eye chart and they pass me every time.
"Which side do you hear the tone?"
