Especially the long range.
Isn't the 0-60 on that baw like 3 seconds?
On a semi-prepped track after the last software update they have seen 2.8 0-60.
A 991/992 911 Turbo S can beat it to 60 but not by a lot and not without launch control engaged. The Turbo S is one of the hardest launching ICE cars under $300k.

Extra tampons for the glovebox?

The way you speak is cheesy.

Even a Demon?
I would take the Tesla on the street. The Demon will run 2.3 or 2.1 with rollout but that's on 100 octane (along with the optional powertrain controller and removal of the passenger and rear seats) and needs a fairly well-prepped track to do it. The Demon needs pretty great conditions to run its numbers.

Don't keep it past the warranty.

Any other accessories or anything else I should think about before delivery? This is my first EV and first ever car purchase in general (previous two cars driven were inherited), so I’m super pumped
Congrats! My dad has one and he said one of the best accessory he bought for it was the sunshade for the glass roof. It does come with a factory tint but it'll still bake your head.

Get a back up generator for your house? How will you charge your car when the power goes out?

That’s kind of like all you ever hear from casino patrons is how much money they won.

Nailed it. The Tesla is a beast on the street. There are only a handful of cars that can really hang with one to 60 on normal streets.

Make sure you have competent counsel, the battery charge won’t hold up.

Tesla is the worst rated vehicle you can buy in the US

JD Power asks owns of new vehicles about their experiences. They are considered by the industry as the gold standarf on how to measure quality. They get their owners list from every OEM EXCEPT Tesla. Tesla will not give JD Power their owners list so, in 2020, JDP did their won research and managed to locate enough owners to do an accurate survey.
Quote from Study:
Tesla profiled for first time: Tesla receives an initial quality score of 250 PP100. The automaker is not officially ranked among other brands in the study as it doesn’t meet ranking criteria. “Unlike other manufacturers, Tesla doesn’t grant us permission to survey its owners in 15 states where it is required,” said Doug Betts, president of the automotive division at J.D. Power. “However, we were able to collect a large enough sample of surveys from owners in the other 35 states and, from that base, we calculated Tesla’s score.”
They study measured Problems Per 100 vehicles. The lower the number the better. The top performer had a score of 136. Tesla was dead last by a lot at 250.

TheStreet.com - J.D. Power's Tesla Quality Score May Not Mean What You Think
quote:
Tesla has room for improvement in initial quality, but the J.D. Power IQS may not be the best study to help with understanding how Tesla compares to other automakers. Last year, Bloomberg conducted a study of more than 5,000 Model 3 owners that found incredibly high owner satisfaction despite reports of some initial quality challenges.

If by gold standard you mean the ratings are bought and paid for with gold then you would be correct. Nobody that knows cars or the industry thinks JD Power is an unbiased reporting service.
The closest you will find is Consumer Reports, still not perfect but a far better indicator of owner satisfaction and reliability/dependability than Power in large part because they don't accept industry money.

Tesla is one of the few companies that got the best of Jeremy Clarkson which is impressive imo
