Yeah...I don't feel sorry for you at all. I was a baseball coach in the BR area...I can't even count how many times I would come in on Monday and find my nicely dragged infield/pitcher's mound/home plate area messed up from people using it over the weekend. Cost me hours of my own time on a regular basis. Not to mention the safety and security issue of just letting anybody roam a campus, let alone the liability should an injury occur.

Take your kids to a public park.

No, my notion is that fields at schools could serve a dual purpose as a neighborhood park.

Not being a dick, but it's the same thing as if you thought you had the right to bust up in the school and start using their laptops etc. He may have been on a small power trip, but he was right. You can't just use the facilities as you please.
