a chick i went to high school with had a little sister that had a pimp basically lock her up. I think the situation started with drugs and she moved away from home to be with the dude and when they got to what i think was eventually dallas this dude locked her up and kept her from contacting anyone. She said on facebook when her family finally went to get her that he had several girls there at the house in dallas. This girl is 20 so all kinds of messed up stuff. The family is complete trash so i guess that needs to be said but whatevs.

When I think of your "typical" trashy family with daughters, I think of daughters with low self-esteem, etc. Its probably easy to "bait" them in. Anyone who will give them attention will get their attention and maybe that's who the awareness about the sex trade industry is trying to target. I just cant imagine someone being able to do that to another human being.

I don't know about that story, but I know it's pretty bad. I think it mostly happens to foreigners who are trying to immigrate to the country and get caught up in it. I read an article a little while back about a college educated woman who thought that she was taking a professional job in the United States and when she arrived she was kept hostage and forced to do drugs and be a sex slave, and when she got free it was very difficult to get anyone to take her seriously and get help. She eventually got help, became a citizen, and I think founded a non profit to help these women.
