The guy has made no effort to improve the place at all. He is in a great spot with an obvious clientele that will pay his high prices. Why not make the bar a little better?

Cleaning the beer lines and offering realistic specials and maybe just giving the place some TLC makes it generic?

Meh.
Maybe clean up the patio a little. It looks like an 18 year old lsu freshman's apartment or a 'generic' tigerland bar. Also, the bathroom area looks like a crime scene on most nights.

I've seen talk of the dirty beer lines at this place a lot on here. The distributors come around and clean these once a month for free. Do they just turn them away?

I think it depends on other factors. When I worked at NGT, the distributers RARELY came around doing that. Like... pretty much never.
