I'm partial to Port if that's considered a dive.

Nope.

There's a sign in there that says: "Yes we are closing. No, we don't fricking know when"

He has literally mentioned how expensive the place is like 3 times.

Last time I was there, they had a poster advertising the great "special" of Miller Lite for $4 during happy hour/certain night.

i mean okay but i would still rather go there and pay more than go to 90% of the other bars in this town.

See, if I'm going to twist my boyfriend's arm for expensive drinks, my arse is making it worth it.

No reason you should pay the same at a dive as you would at a place with naked women.. or a place where you're getting quality craft cocktails/clean atmosphere.

And the dirty lines are an issue. I wouldn't pay $1 for a dirty beer, so I'm definitely not paying $6 for one.

It's not even about keeping riff raff out, because I don't have a problem with riff raff at any overpass spots. And the rest are normally priced.

Port
Cove
Duvics
Radio bar
Phil bradys
The Jefferson
Chimes

And most of the downtown bars are better places imo.

No one here said it was a good thing. Just saying Ivar's wasn't too good to begin with.

Obviously, I'd love to see the guy just improve the place or sell it to someone who would.
