Hell yeah I do, I'd appreciate the heck out of it. My TWIC expired in 2014 because I didn't need it at the time but I've already reapplied. Please let me know if you find anything out.

Supadave3@ gmail.com with any details, or for my phone number, etc.

Thanks Godfather!

Just applied for it on Friday. She said anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks, usually averaging about a week. I can check the status online and will do so and keep you informed.

I'm guessing the job is in Austin, huh? That's gonna be a hell of a commute.

Yep, OP said he's willing to move to Texas. I didn't read all the pages though. Looks like you're on the hunt as well.
Good luck

Thanks man! If it comes down to it, I'll move too but I have commitments here that make that a bit difficult, but if it comes down to it, I'll do what I have to do to eat and pay my bills.

Bump in case anyone knows of anything, even temporary work if it's available. Still waiting to hear back about my TWIC but it should be soon.

Just left my incredibly micromanaged outside sales job after a year.

Looking for a spot somewhere. I realized I missed working with my hands while in sales, been hunting for a month now.

I feel the pain.

I've been laid off before. Current company just announced voluntary layoffs with involuntary to follow.

Solidarity.

Best wishes to the job seekers. As posted earlier, Lake Chuck is booming with construction projects, if that's your cup of tea.

Voluntary, huh?

Hope you're not caught up once the involuntary roll around.

Oh I did. Just couldn't take it anymore. Not my best decision, but I'm determined to get back on my feet.... I hope.

I work very closely with the Jacobs Field Services Superintendent at a plant on the river. What type of work do you specialize in? Kelly services is also hiring a spot out here as well if you have a degree and a little knowledge on the electrial side.

Welcome to the club, I've been laid off three times just this year.

Look at BakerCorp, they have a position open in Geismar as well as others in TX, etc.

HIJACK:
If anyone knows of offshore positions open...
I have SafeGulf, SafeLand, PEC, HUET, H2S Safety, TWIC, 40-Hour HAZWOP, Hazmat Physical, and fit test; all current.

ETA: Also hold a U.S. Passport with Chinese multiple entry/exit visa.

Just to update thread, TWIC approval granted yesterday. If anyone knows of any contractors hiring working in any of the plants in the BR area, please let me know. Thanks!
