This actually happened to us on vacation in Florida.. family of FOUR.
Mom, Dad, my brother, and myself. They wanted all 4 of our IDs. My dad was like "WTF? These are my children.."
I've had cashiers ask for mine and Jones' when grocery shopping, but we aren't really the type of people to get pissy about that shite so I don't care. I'd only be pissed if I was refused a sale due to having a child with me.

It really isn't about "store policy" and it certainly isn't about a law or statute. Restricting a sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lotto are literally the only source of power these pathetic drones have in their very miserable lives.
