I thought Bc I was a white male, I had privilege and would be let off with a warning, what happened?
Though, for real, I thought there had to be a sign saying "No left turn" for it to be illegal.

I got one of those my freshman year right off campus. I was the dd driving 5 to 6 drunk people. Cop still didn't let me off. Good semaritan never pays off.

It's only $100 so I'm not even that upset, just a brain fart on my end.

I saw it all on live PD.

So now you're saying the privilege is selective? That's convenient.

Research the law and satisfy yourself that either you have a case or not.
If you do have a case, go right ahead and fight it. Cops aren't always right. I got a 55 in a 35 ticket dismissed once b/c I did my homework. The cop claimed the speed limit was posted but I was able to show that between the store where I entered the street (I had the receipt to prove that point) and where I was stopped there was no sign, about a mile or so. That made the cop look like he was making stuff up, plus it was a four lane divided highway and the default limit without a posted sign is ... 55mph.
The judge gave me a dirty look but didn't really have a choice.

I once got a ticket for an illegal u-turn. I asked the cop if he was sure that it wasn't allowed; I had looked for the sign before I turned just to make sure but didn't see the sign. I let him give me the ticket then went back to the light.
Again I didn't see the no u-turn sign. It was the intersection near the circle bowl. I saw about a dozen signs, ALL hanging from the same cable on which the lights themselves hung.
Then I looked across that big arse intersection, must've been 80 feet away, in the median on the other side, there stood a lone street sign at about six feet high. It was the no u-turn sign - the only sign not hanging next to all of the others.
Spoke with the DA's office and expressed my intention to photograph the arrangement of the signs and argue my case. He asked if I'd be happy to pay a non moving violation (seatbelt) and leave with nothing on my record. I agreed.
Still think it was a chicken shite ticket.

You're lucky you didn't get slapped around for your sass mouth. Sassy little bitch, don't sass about cops.

This is the standard deal that most people can get if you call the DA's office about a ticket. I've done it more than one time. If you were speeding pretty bad or doing something else they might make you go to Driving School.

There is a sign. Go find it.

Just did this in St Gabriel. Obviously about revenue and not public safety because I watched about 20 people get offered and take this deal.
