Scary stuff for sure and a great reminder that there's a reason they recommend people get those when they do. Best of luck for a quick recovery.

Who was your Gastroenterologist?

I've had a couple and due for another. It runs in our family. Cancer gets us - not bum tickers.

And who is your Oncologist?

Assuming you are in BR.

Best of luck to you. I'm 51, I guess my time is now to get one.

SO had the surgery done about 12 years ago. Clean scopes since then. Get it early and you will do well. Follow up exams are crucial.

Prayers. I need to do the same, since I got a family history of polyps. Not cancerous but polyps. Grandpaw and mom had them. All clear with the rest of the family. Gonna get an endoscopy too while I am at it.

I had 13" of my colon removed and six months of chemo in 2000 - been cancer free and live a normal life ever since.

Got a scope consult tomorrow. Not 50 but deal with GI issues here and there. No family history of cancer but definitely full of diverticulosis and such. No Chrones or UC though.

Just being proactive.

Oh! And prayers brother!
