He’s 38...8 years younger than me.

I’m kind of freaked out.

Any of you baws had this surgery?

DadWafer had emergency triple bypass at 47.

ETA That was 18 years ago.
ETA ETA DadWafer was not fat at all.

Hopefully he takes up a healthier lifestyle after the surgery, the recovery period will be extremely difficult.

Rather than posting a shitty, smartass comment...

Good luck to your friend.

I don’t know.

He’s a great guy and father, but he’s done his share of partying and smokes weed in the reg.

He’s also really into cooking - especially BBQ.

What are his symptoms?

I always ask when middle age people get sick so I know what to look for on myself. Is he overweight? Does he smoke?

Be happy they caught it. I have a 40 year old friend that died from a heart attack.

I can promise you that there is a long history of heart disease in his family.

My brother had it at 47. But that's what happens when you smoke three packs of reds and drink over twenty drinks a day for thirty frickin years. He's two years older than me at 57 but looks 20 years older.

Yeah. Probably genetics.

Anyone that has heart issues at that age... it’s almost certainly genetics. Wishing your friend a successful surgery and full recovery.

Agree with genetics. He could have LPa. One in five have this and it just destroys your arteries. After having some tests done it cane back that at 41 I’ve got the arteries of a 56 year old. shite is no joke.

Best of luck to your friend. Thoughts and prayers.
