Mine went out last weekend. The air still blows, seems cool, not cold, and the airflow is weak as shite. Couldn't get the thermostat below 85. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I've been out of town since Monday, not looking forward to getting home next week.

Sounds like the coil may be freezing. Is there ice on the suction line (the larger diameter one)? This could indicate low freon (leak, so replace coil - bad) or perhaps an incredibly dirty filter (replace filter - good).

This is sorry but was done by someone I know well.

Go to Walmart and buy a window unit, put in living area and close all other doors.

Once AC is fixed return and get a refund

We are having hvac issues too...you are not alone my friend. The busiest time of year for a/c repairmen. It sucks.
