We have done imprintables for business for a long time. You would be surprised what those $60-$80 polos actually cost. On SMALL scale purchases a polo that sales in the $40-$60 range is $5-10. A nice Nike, Columbia or Eddie Bauer is $20ish. There are some brands you would recognize but they are just OEM's for some of the brands you see in the stores that cost more than the "name brand" stuff, there are also cheaper high quality brands that get renamed too. You can get some high quality garments if you shop the "retail wholesale" garment shops for hobbyist (think your cricket mom selling on etsy) and do your research but you won't find them on Amazon in any appreciable quantity. The handful of real wholesalers absolutely destroy those hobby show prices though.
