Perry has a couple of good restaurants if you would have headed into downtown Perry. I have not tried the Jamaican Jerk but I have heard it is pretty good. Yes Buccee's is my go to for fuel and breakfast most mornings, but they were doing road construction at the exit and I decided to go somewhere else. Next time you are in Perry try the Swanson House there is also a 50's diner/soda fountain downtown across from the old courthouse that has good burgers. There is also supposed to me a new restaurant opening called Orleans which will be more of a Cajun style which being that you are from Louisiana might be shite compared to what you get at home, but everyone likes their food truck so we will try it out once the open.
