I'm legit scared something like this is going to happen to me (not quite this bad). There are tons of deer on the walking path in The Woodlands near my house after dark. I run with a headlamp a good bit in the morning or after work and am constantly jumping them. Sometimes they get trapped between heavy brush and a fence and just freak the F out. Luckily haven't run straight into me yet. I started making noises when I come around corners that they frequent to scare them off before I get there. Pretty sure my neighbors think I'm a psycho .
