You sure about that?
Have any pics been posted of his neck? Surely there would have been rope burns if someone put a noose around his neck and he struggled to get away, right?
If he had the slightest scratch on his neck, it would have been broadcast on the news and social media 24/7 for the optics alone.
Other than that, I agree with every word of your post.

He didnt want to tell security, “hey I was going to meet up with some random guys to get fricked in the arse and they jumped me”. Later he calls his agent who creates the plan to say it was homophobic MAGA men with a noose.
Definitely. He’s not giving up his phone because they’ll see that he was heading to a gay escapade and he wasn’t on the phone with his manager until long after the alleged attack.

What option do they have? Imagine the blowback if people thought they weren’t taking it seriously.
They can just ignore a murder or two since no one will care about that. Sad but true
But during the worse winter in history???
If someone dies of old or homeless person dies, it would be awesome if someone comes out saying something like..."well if we didn't have to chase a hoax to keep race/gender relations in tact...."
Hope CPD sends this fricker a bill.

The only evidence they were supposed to have was the 'noose'.
Speaking of evidence, one thing I haven't heard anything about is his clothes he was wearing being bleached. Would there also not be some clothes with bleached spots on them as evidence as well if he actually had some poured on him?

These are investigators working the case at this point, not regular patrol. Support for the homeless and daily crime shouldn’t be impacted.
That said, it’s still a waste of resources.

I’m actually pretty impressed with how few of these stories turn out to be real despite the media slobbering over anything that can be represented as even slightly racist. I mean it’s got to be frustrating for the news organizations in a country with more than 50 million white guys to come out empty handed looking like retards nearly every time they report one of these stories.
I don’t believe white people are racist by large but I’m still shocked that the parties actively looking for evidence to paint that narrative struggle so hard to do so.

i use straight liquid chlorine bleach for my pool and no matter how carefully i pour it in, whatever i'm wearing has little white dots on it later.

That is exactly what made me think of his clothes being bleached

-c list actor claim that was attached by two racist homophobes yelling slurs and yelling “this is MAGA country” at 2 A.M. near his condo in Chicago. They also put a noose around his neck and possibly poured bleach on him. This is a very nice and expensive part of town.
-waited 40 minutes to call the cops and still had the noose around his neck when the cops arrive
-went to the hospital later on his own and was treated for a scrape on his face
-claims he was on the phone with his manager at the time of the attack but both refuse to hand over police records
-cpd has 12 detectives reviewing hundreds of hours of security footage. They have him on camera with no noose, disappearing for 60 seconds and then reaapearing with noose as he walks into the lobby of the condo building and passes security as he heads to the elevator.
-no footage of the attack found and cops released grainy pics of the backs of two people in the area at the time. There is no footage of these two interacting or even directly crossing paths with smollett. Seemingly just the only people in the area at the time
-this release of the pics has yielded no tips from the public
-woman who also lives in the building gave the police a description of a “redneck” loitering around the building. But no one is seen on camera and this description is totally different than Smollett’s.

I don't know what happened but it's interesting watching the shitstorm unleashed by this story.
Anyway the latest I've seen is a cop on TV saying:
"I will say this. The crime that he reported is horrendous. It's horrible. It was cowardly. We'll do everything we can,"
"We don't have anything that we've actually been able to view," Johnson said. "He's a victim right now, and we'll treat him like a victim. He's been very cooperative and we have no reason, at this point, to think that he's not being genuine with us."

It's nuts that they have 12 detectives on the case.

This feels like “The Emperor’s New Clothes”
Everyone can see this is bullshite but no one dares say anything because the media has declared this a protected class.

Maybe I don’t get it but why are people pushing for an anti lynching bill? It doesn’t exactly seem like an issue
It is "symbolic," and just another chess move for the libs. They just lay the groundwork with extremes, and then come back with just a tad less extreme once it's been "justified" in many minds.
Why we need conservatives to stop playing tiddly-winks with lobbyists, and start getting on the chess board with them. Otherwise we will keep seeing these f'd up things. We as adults who grew up in a different time think it's crazy, but our kids are being taught this.
Long game (dems) vs short bus game (repubs).
