I hear ya. We get there early and are pretty much in place for the day. The time between the day parades and night has been getting smaller and smaller each year.

He initially took a hit, but Kobe was still very prominent in commercials especially during his back to back championships without Shaq. Hell Nike did an entire puppet campaign off he and Lebron, and more recently he was the face of Body Armour and look how well that turned out.
In short the media loves to tear ppl down, but they also love an image rebuild story as well.
