Judge Says Rolling Stone’s Jackie Must Surrender Documents About Fake Rape

Lawyers for Nicole Eramo—the University of Virginia dean of students currently suing Rolling Stone for defaming her—prevailed in their quest to compel “Jackie” to submit her correspondence with author Sabrina Rubin Erdely.
Earlier this week, the judge in the case ordered Jackie to surrender all records of her conversations relating to the alleged sexual assault. Specifically, Jackie must provide messages she exchanged with Erdely, Rolling Stone, and UVA. The judge’s order also covers correspondence between Jackie and her friends relating to “Haven Monahan,” the fictitious person that Jackie claimed was involved in her rape.
Jackie’s lawyers attempted to argue that her communications were privileged for a variety of reasons. But U.S. District Judge Glen Conrad rejected their reasoning.
Also, if you remember, "Jackie" plagiarized several websites, movies and TV shows (including Dawson's Creek) in her fake correspondence emails with "Haven." Of course, she isn't named in teh suit, but definitely deserves to be jailed.
I'm glad RS hasn't settled. This burn needs to be as public as possible.

Just a quick reminder that this "reporter" has yet to give a good apology and is still working for the Rolling Stone.

Going forward, the only thing Ederly should ever be allowed to write is a check made out to those she libeled in that bogus article. She should be banned from journalism.

There are no more "reporters" and "journalism" as a profession is dead. Just accept that and you will feel better. It's all about getting your piece on the net first and pushing your bias or agenda. Their only mark of skill is being able to push their cause and not having it be blatantly obvious to the reader. 90% can't even do that.

Many people still want to root for their team through biased reporting, but there are so many dissenting opinions now that at least people can get a complete picture.
