Jones Creek Road Work

Anyone know what is going on with the work on Jones Creek? They did alot with moving phone lines but have not seen much happening in months.

Hopefully just fixing the road, its like riding a roller coaster between Tiger Bend and Coursey.

and can someone answer whats goin in the ground there across from the church i think... theve been diggin a whole there forever

The plan is to four lane the road like it is north of coursey.

yes, part of the Green whatever program - also, the work on O'Neal from South Harry Ferry to George O'Neal is suppose to start in the spring - 4 lanes.

I heard they had to rebid the road work due to a law suit from one of the bidders. I believe the story said it would be several more months before the job could even be rebid (Spring 15?) which doesn't make any sense. It could also be that the city is waiting to see what happens with St. George......

It's a pump station to send sewage to the waste water treatment plant. It's called a lift station since it is transporting from lower elevation to higher elevation. Unlike other areas of the country, we can't rely on gravity to move our shite!

They went ahead and patched some holes in the road so I bet it's going to be a long time for them to do any work on the road. Shame...

technically it still uses gravity


it just lifts it up higher an sends it down another slope

prevents you from having to dig the gravity-flow sewer lines deeper and deeper and deeper


(at least in most cases, i'm not familiar with this exact location)
