The Weidenfeld Safe Havens Fund aims to rescue a projected 2,000 Christians from Syria and Iraq over the next two years.

“I had a debt to repay.” Weidenfeld told The Times of London. “It applies to so many young people who were brought on the Kindertransports. It was the Quakers and other Christian denominations who brought those children to England.”

“It was very (a) very high-minded operation and we Jews should also be thankful and do something for the endangered Christians.”

The fund sponsored its first rescue just last week, flying 150 Syrian Christians to Poland on a privately chartered plane.

That's what Christian preachers should worry about more than gay marriage and opening more mega churches in the Bible Belt

While I get what you are saying, I would say that many Christian preachers are very concerned about events that affect their fellow Christian brothers and sisters across the world and pray and encourage others to pray for this in their sermons. If you attend a Christian church (whatever the denomination) that hasn't brought this concern up ever.....then maybe that's a sign you should find another church.

"Bringing something up" & actually doing something are totally different things.

I did notice the guy specifically remember Quakers actively involved in helping young Jews during the Holocaust. Quakers are the real deal & have a history of actively fighting injustice/ helping others to their own detriment.
