I can only speak for myself since I do not have any tangible data that states why viewership is down at ESPN.
I stopped watching Sports Center when it stopped reporting sports news and starting featuring editorials.
ESPN, in my opinion started degrading with shows like Jim Rome. Stephen A Smith was the last straw for me. Not because he happens to be black, but because I do not like the way he presents his opinions as facts with faux outrage and talking over people.
I wouldn't even know who Jemele and Mike were if it wasn't for the 5 seconds of an ad I'm forced to watch on Youtube.
If I were responsible for making staffing decisions at ESPN, I would fire her arse. Not because she is black, but because of her actions do not justify employment as a responsible journalist.

Maybe thishas been suggested, but I'd like to see one of the white male ESPN personalities just spew something about Obama being N-word sympathizer.

I'd just like for any ESPN personalty to tell me the objective sporting news and leave out all politics.

I believe what you're missing here is that we're becoming exhausted and quite aggravated by Imus, Limbaugh, and Schilling getting fired for the exact same thing, just a different narrative.
