Soon-to-be WWE Hall Of Famer and founder of Impact Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett, recently appeared as a guest on Dutch Mantell's podcast, Down & Dirty with Dutch Mantell, for an in-depth interview. During his appearance on the podcast, "Double J" spoke about how he found out that he was one of this year's WWE Hall Of Fame inductees. "I got a text, it was on a Sunday morning, early January," Jarrett said. "It said, 'Can you talk for about five minutes?' I said sure to this high ranking WWE official who will remain nameless at this time. I don’t know if I’m supposed to discuss this guy’s name." Jarrett continued, "To say I was shocked would be an understatement. All in about 60 seconds it was wrestling maybe at it's best. I was shocked, I was grateful, very humbled, I was scratching my head. It was surreal. It was really a surreal moment. It's no secret in 2017 I had some ups, I probably had more downs than I had ups, both personally and professionally, so early January 2018 to get that call it was a shock. I'm still sort of mesmerized by the whole deal."

WWE is scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point for its HOF inductees. Guy was overrated as hell.

The freaking Godfather got in for goodness sakes.

With this as the title you had me thinking they let him know by skywriting the news above his house or sent a strippergram to him or something.

It was just a text and phone call? Meh.

And for years he was “G double O double N double E” per Vince McMahon.

As far as Godfather goes, he doesn’t deserve to be in but there’s a history of the company inducting people strictly due to their loyalty. James Dudley, Vince J McMahon’s driver, was in the inaugural HOF class for God’s sake.

He introduced the term Slap Nuts to America. He deserves induction just for that if nothing else.
