I don't know of anyone in the city who is speak out against the statues coming down. Sure some people, like myself, don't want to see them come down but I only hear the public crying from trash dick protesters who don't even live in the city and the OT.

Unfortunately the cost for many to speak is way too high. I'd gladly do it publicly, but is it worth being called a racist/bigot/involved in this giant mess while maintaining a job/family/etc. Unfortunately with social media many professional types simply avoid these types of controversies. I think that's why you see mostly young grubby looking folks protesting against it, and some good ole baw types for it. It's sad because the people footing the bill for all of this shite is silenced.

It still blows my mind how people in this city went to the polls to raise their own taxes. What fools. And now look how that extra tax revenue is actually being spent. Overtime police/fire pay to remove a statue in the middle of the night.
