When I was in high school, I went out somewhere in Jefferson County, I believe, and was shown something interesting.
It was a hill where you could park your car, put it in neutral, and your car would roll backwards along a slight incline.
Itt was slow but, your car would move as long as it was allowed. There was also a tunnel nearby.
It may have been Shelby County. I'm not entirely sure.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about, help me out and tell me where it is. Thanks.

Yes, I don't know if it was an illusion or if it was real but, I saw it.
I was with a group of friends I had just met. A few of my friends from my city and these new folks, about 4 of them, went to a party they knew about.
But yeah, the car would actually roll uphill. As they explained it to us, everyone in their area knew about it. It was no big deal to them.
I thought it was cool as hell.

Gravity Hill is well known to those of us that made the Birmingham to Auburn trek during college years. It was a favorite diversion over the years.

Have you ever driven on the interstates in Alabama? Outside of major cities, there is almost nothing inbetween except forest, fields, and sleepy towns.

Exactly. 280 was a two lane road back when I went to Auburn. There wasn't a whole hell of a lot to see or do. It was fun to show girlfriends or people that hadn't seen it before.
