Subaru Outback. Do the research. Dumped my oversized SUV and bought an Outback Ltd. Great decision.

saw one of these today walking into my lunch spot...had jism on my pants before i made it through the door.... 4 runner TRD PRO

The Pro is pretty cool...but man...for the money Toyota wants for a 4Runner, the interior is God awful. Its almost a direct carryover from the RAV4...lots of plastic. I don't understand how they can get that kind of money for the 4Runner. Body on frame, 4.0 V6 that's old as dirt, and a bland plastic interior. I know they are reliable, and I like them for what they are, but I don't think I'd ever put one in my garage.

I have a JGC Overland 4x4 with the 5.7 hem - has everything you can get on it with an MSRP of 53K - I got it 5.5% below invoice 46K in October of 2014, so don't overpay for one (you can get the same deal if you are willing to buy in Houston, and it applies across all the trim lines except SRT, which would be about invoice - 4%). I think the car is very nice, great ride - I mean great, but I am coming from a MB E63 and before that a regular E550 and before that an M5. JGC build quality isn't as rock solid and fit and finish looks nice, but to the very critical eye not in the same league with the nice Euros. Now vs the 4Runner, it stacks up very well and is clearly nicer and does more, but I suspect the 4Runner will win out when it comes to reliability.

I hate the service dept at the dealer here in Shreveport. I mean hate them, but then again I'm spoiled by the MB dealer here's service dept. I've had a few nagging problems that I've ignored then the other day air suspension became stuck in all the way up position. Had to drop the car at the dealer with an appt. for two days before they can even look at it. I'm seriously thinking about making a change because I can't go through this every time the car needs to co in for a problem.
