don't they have some kind of document that says the building can have X number people? so, if they are rated for 100 they can have 25? Or is it more complicated than that?

yeah there are some universal code adaptations such as take square footage and divide by 36 to get max occupancy
but ... my limited understanding is also that there are more guidelines by type of business (let's say restaurant or retail or office for example) and other factors like number of exits etc.
Is there not some easy to read / follow resource anywhere? seems like a mess

quote:yeah, each business/building should have received approval for max capacity by the Fire Marshal's Office before opening. So, it should be easy for them to accommodate that.

With summer approaching, I know many of you are receiving questions around youth baseball and summer camps. While these things have not been prohibited in previous orders or this one, SFM and LDH are working on social distancing and sanitization guidance for these sorts of events.
He did to baseball what he did to nonessential businesses last time. "I never said yall had to close." good lord

From Fletcher Mackel Twitter
For those asking - regarding sports.
I just got clarification from Governor John Bel Edwards office.
Starting Friday all non-contact, outdoor sports for all levels in Louisiana can resume.
But teams must practice social distancing.
Contact sports & indoor sports leagues cannot start yet.

Yeah this was another whopper. He’s gone to the Bill Clinton school of word parsing. It must be a requirement to be a trial lawyer. Nothing like literally changing history to suit your post-crisis agenda.

And how in the ever loving frick does a soccer team practice ‘social distancing’ in a game? I guess it’s just an ‘unfortunate’ question that the plebes will have to just figure out.
Again, frick John Bel Edwards. He’s a true piece of shite.

Any mention of state parks reopening? I'm ready to go camping.
