The Jewish religion espouses salvation for Jews only.

Their messiah is a great warrior king who will come to earth and conquer the world and force everyone to submit to the Jews. That’s why they call themselves “Gods chosen people”.

This is why Judas betrayed Jesus. Because he believed he was the Jewish messiah who would suddenly become this mighty warrior king. And when Jesus never did he thought he would finally embody this once he was backed into a corner and being arrested. But he did not. Because Judas misunderstood his message.

This is why the Roman’s put “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews” in the cross. It was to mock the Jewish belief of the messiah. “This is your messiah? This is your mighty warrior king who will make everyone submit to the Jews?” It was a mockery on their misunderstanding (like yours) that Jesus was a practicing Jew.

Jesus came and was like “no you have it wrong” the blood of the new and everlasting covenant is that I will sacrifice myself for your sins so our salvation is in Heaven. Jews don’t believe in Heaven. Their salvation is a worldly realm for Jews.

Jesus came to say that salvation is eternal life with God in heaven. AND it is attainable for ANYONE. No one can come to the father unless through me. You don’t have to be born a Jew. You just have to be human and accept Jesus.

That’s why the Jewish leaders hated Jesus and had him killed. This was a RADICAL radical message. Truly.

Judaism is a tribal ethnic religion. It’s more of an ethnicity than a religion. Judaism doesn’t teach turn the other cheek or do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Synagogue just regales them on the traditions of being a Jew. And how important their tribal identity and history is. In fact the Talmud teaches them they are gods chosen people and everyone else is lesser and beneath them. And they can treat you accordingly. Because you aren’t in the club.

It is a tribal identity group.
