There's a guy on the money board who says he's getting out of stocks as soon as they rebound to pre-covid levels lmao

He went on to say that he doesn't want to be in the market anymore because it's all driven by fear and emotion. He followed that sentence up with "I'm scared"

I guess it's true what they say.

It's easy to be a genius and say let it ride when times are good.

A 30% drop here or there and the weak arse hands get shook.

I’m too tired to calculate it, but eyeballing it, I’m down about 25%. I’ll worry about that in thirty years.

I wish I were down only 20%, but this will pass just like the 2008 recession. we'll rebound just fine.

Yeah... give it 10 or 15 years and we'll be right back to 2019 wealth levels. Solid take.

Not worried about it though. Retirement is 20 years away and I've lost 50% before

I hope you’re right. I wasn’t heavily invested during previous downturns

I mean, it's a damn near guarantee that we will set market ATHs within the next few years. "Within the next few years" is being super conservative.

Yeah, I know we’ll rebound eventually. It’s just hard to watch value disappear so quickly. I’ll probably be buying quite a bit over the coming weeks. Just thought I’d vent here and see how others were feeling.

All good baw. Just keep those contributions up and throw in as much as you can stomach. You'll be glad you did in a few years.

Lost my business in the great frickup of 2008. Took me 4 years to dig out and save enough money to move.
Just started a new business. Will see how things turn out.
Good luck.

How did you lose 20%?

Did you sell?

If not, you haven’t realized a loss yet. Stop being a sissy, have a scotch, go to sleep, and keep moving forward.
