What about the trailer shows this? I saw the trailer to this movie in theaters and thought it looked like a good kids movie. What did I miss?

To be fair, I never understood the hype about Disney. I just remember when I was... I guess pre-teens, early teens there was a Disney movie.. I forget which one, but my friend's little sister had the movie and we used to think it was funny that there was one part if you stopped it at a certain part when some flowers or something went into the air it spelled SEX.
I know people will get upset because I ask these questions and forgive me for not knowing because I don't watch Disney movies, but are kids picking these things up?
Like if they see two dudes kiss each other on the lips or something do they think they are gay or maybe from France or something?
