Well since they've deleted the statement that
quote:

that if you keep black people away from places no one will die

It's tough for me to object to since it's been deleted but on this subject for years I have recommended Mcwhorter's book losing the race And before my stroke I had decades in working for local government and campaigns for Sheriff DA and judge so I'm well aware of this statistics

And you have since in subsequent posts softened the racist tinge to your statement that I object to. Its already a shifting target from you

so whats the point?

The Texas Relays, a couple of years I spent in Austin I went to them

extremely entertaining

different crowd for distance and speed but good , engaged families
there are always exception to everything

When I was with the County the facility in Humble was one of ours.. the HS/UIL Club events there,, nice people involved

track people are good people

My son is doing track this year and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I’ve had a blast at the meets seeing him and others compete and progress.

Especially the distance runners, those kids and parents get up awful early in the morning for a lot of those races

People who get up early in the morning and show up for something consistantly tend to be good people

I've been in track and a track coach. I would not want a player enforcing some sort of unwritten rule about another kid hanging out around the tent. That's what coaches are for, and we wouldn't demand someone move or cause a confrontation. We might just stay close and make them uncomfortable or keep an eye out.

Honestly, in track we were pretty friendly with other track athletes.

There’s zero reason for anyone not on the team to be around the personal belongings that are staged.

If there’s someone in our area not on my team just staying there and not actively interacting with someone on the team I’m 100% looking into it. Black/white/male/female/adult/kid doesn’t matter. You’re right he should’ve sought out a coach and I’m not saying the kid had any right to put hands on him or whatever if that happened but he also shouldn’t have been stabbed as a response.

At the end of the day that’s all that matters here. The offender stabbed and killed someone when his life wasn’t in direct danger. No media narrative, despite their damndest, has managed to discredit that.

It happens. Track is a big community. I don't think that this case was innocent given the history reported, but track kids hanging around isn't the big deal the OP would have you believe. Most of the time you don't have more than a pair of running shoes and a t-shirt in a track bag. Maybe some snacks and a few dollars.

I agree. Don't know about this instance, I am just saying that track teams aren't so territorial. We all kinda understood that we weren't necessarily fighting each other, 400 relays and 800m races not withstanding. ;)

I get that other teams will be around and some kids make friends or know each other but again from what I’ve seen is that the kid was by himself. Idgaf if it’s only shoes, there’s zero reason why he should be by himself and getting called out by a student.

Exactly.

i knew other runners from other schools.
Id stop by, they'd do same.
That's one thing.
But, from what I've read there was zero connection of Karmelo to Austen's school.

Sounds fishy.
