And yet, I'd still rather drive on the Katy Freeway during rush hour, morning or afternoon, or any time of the freaking day, than trying to get in or out of Baton Rouge on I-10 during a similar timeframe.

Exactly. I-10 in Houston isn’t even that bad at all. It’s worse in Louisiana than it is in Houston. I-45 from downtown to 99 is the worst. It’s not that bad once you get north.
