You should change this to the "Daily" positive coronavirus thread. And as much as I like it, remove the dancing chicks.

And RA that retard Mr Perfect if he shite posts in this thread.

Isn't it weird how young women become acceptably attractive exactly on their 18th birthday? That's how I can tell that those four girls are adults. Yes, I'm sure of it.

It seems like there's a good chance some or all of the girls in that gif are minors.

They look at least college-aged to me.

Even if the vaccine being tested works it would still take, according to most estimates, 12 to 18 months to reach the population

12-18 months faster than if we didn't try to make one.

I’m also not holding my breath in this either, we’ve had years to develop a vaccine for SARS and MERs and we still don’t have a viable one...

SARS stats from 2002-2020
Over 8000 cases in 2002-2003, 4 times since with 3 being lab accidents.
Over 770 deaths
Vaccine still under development, many previous candidates are being revisited for this current outbreak.

MERS stats from 2012-2020
2506 cases
862 deaths
Last case: 2 in January 2020
Limited human to human transmission
Vaccine in phase 1 of human trials as of summer 2019 was showing immune system response:

quote:

Seventy-five healthy adult volunteers received one of three dosages of the candidate vaccine at three time points (initial, one month, three months) and were followed for one year after final vaccination. Vaccinations were given with an electrical impulse to help with vaccine uptake. Vaccine-induced immune responses were compared to those of individuals who had recovered from natural MERS CoV infection.

Neither one is an immediate threat, so research isn't top priority.
