And you, sitting in your chair behind your computer in A/C have no freaking clue what your "attitude" would be in that situation. The guy was on his knees in the dessert with a guy holding a knife dressed in black behind him. Billy Badass doesnt exist in that hell buddy

But you do know exactly how I would act, right? Because you know so much about me, right?

It was already posted. They supposedly have another journalist in their possession. They could have lied to him and said they had someone else, etc.

Jesus Christ I feel like I'm talking to a shrub.

No, I just know in whom my faith lies. I would have accepted death an an inevitability at that point, having known how these things end up. I wouldn't have read anything of the sort.

It's not about being "hardcore". It's just principles.

I can't watch that. For those that did, did they at least have the decency to lop it off quickly or did they saw it like that other poor guy?

I have no clue personally. But I know the normal human reaction is to grasp at the last possible straw when broken like that. But to even try and judge this guys reaction from your recliner is appalling

If it were you, do you watch up until the point in the vid when they start the beheading? I don't think I could.

Absolutely not.

Saying something "badass" wouldn't do any good, other than perhaps provoke someone to shoot you before they decapitated you (a good outcome).

Smiling and laughing menacingly would probably have a better impact on these nutjobs. I'd love to think that something I said came back to them at the moment they notice that Reaper whirring overhead. But in reality, who knows what'd we'd be capable of or what kind of manipulation is going on.

Proclaiming to know how you would act in a similar situation is beyond ignorant.

The video I saw earlier of ISIS taking truckloads of prisoners and executing them was enough for me

At one point they took them to a dock by a lake, shot them in the head, and tossed their body into the lake, and onto the next victim. Savages and barbarians, all of them
Opening fire on a bus of children is what did it for me. I just don't know what the endgame will be with this group.

ISIS needs to be destroyed.

This is why I said what I said, if saying these things would help him or someone else, then I can see saying this or whatever they want you to say. But if you know that they are going to slaughter you no matter what, then why give them this last bit of your dignity? I'm not judging him or looking down on him, I'm just saying that if I'm in that situation and there is literally nothing left for me, I'm standing in front of the camera and I know this is it, I'm at least going to go out on my terms as much as I can. That's not being a billy bad arse.

They take away your principles when they torture your arse for two years. Like I said, there is a chance we have the .0000001% on this board that could stay in a sane state of mind, but I am playing the percentages we dont
