Cantore kinda freaked last night when this happened on air. It is cool to see it backed up in data.

How abrupt that temperature change was is interesting.

I had to fix my neighbors after her 1400 service guy in August didn’t either charge or replace the battery. For that amount money you should get everything you can take off new. Portable jump charger saves the day again. Of course she didn’t have the damn keys. I ran into that in June and thank God they are all the same. (I have no idea what you need to pick your generator cover to begin with. No copper in there and I think these service guys “forget to give them to you “ on purpose, so you have use them.

I highly recommend everyone do your own annual maintenance on Generac Generators. At least you will learn how to fix them etc. It took me 30 minutes and cost 20 bucks.

Got hit pretty good didn’t see much if any storm surge though.

Power was out and may remain out until Tuesday apparently.

Driving to the Bama game and it looked like a tornado had hit from the beach to roughly Andalusia.

They must’ve had 50-75 trees cleared from the roads until I got to I65.

Places like Florala got hit pretty hard last night.

quote:

That was a big problem after Ida and the snow storm. Lots of gas infrastructure was only based on heating a home, heating water, and cooking. Whole Home generators on natty gas was still a pipe dream.

Plus, did the county or city require permits and track how many natty generators were installed. That too was an issue pre-Ida. Gas companies did not know how much gas was needed to supply all the generators and keep up with infrastructure and place larger gas distribution lines. That is why one company I know now has the option of a buried natty gas tank.

I’ve heard some back and forth on this. Ida was an eye opening experience in some areas and I believe the PSC was addressing this issue. I’m sure the utilities felt like they were caught off guard as did the homeowners who expected their generators to run. Hopefully the next time we have a storm like Ida this won’t be an issue again.

If you can get access to a drone use it to get up in air and you will see tornado tracks.

We have a bunch of destroyed buildings and fatalities along east beach in Ocean Springs despite them all being on a ridge 26 feet above sea level, so having no water or very little water in the houses. Of course, snake farm was going to say was all tidal surge but didn’t make sense.

I rented a helicopter and found a huge tornado track went right down the ridge and found tornado tracks everywhere, yet there wasn’t a single tornado reported on the coast. (Because it was nighttime in a fricking hurricane and dead men tell no tales) I gave that video to lawyers representing policy holders and everyone hit got paid. Tornadoes are hard for them to defend.
