re: Is Wellbutrin a good drug for depression or anxiety?

It’s an antidepressant and not an anxiolytic. Wellbutrin has a mild stimulant effect that other antidepressants don’t have so it’s not going to help with anxiety or sleep.
I was on Wellbutrin for years, and it was the only one that helped me with depression. I have since started running and walking 5 miles a day and thankfully don’t need it anymore.
I wish you the absolute best and hope you find treatment that helps you. Take care and keep us posted.

This. It’s a good safe one to start with. Try and avoid SSRIs if you can. And get all your fricking in now cause it will lower your desires after a few months.
I don’t think that happens to everyone. Hopefully he will be lucky.

It depends on the person. Wellbutrin didn’t work for me, Lexapro did. Trial an error.

Doctor called and had me come in today instead of Friday. He’s putting me on Buspirone to take everyday and off duty it’s either Trazadone or Triazolam, I can’t remember which, haven’t picked it up yet. He recommended a licensed therapist that specializes in PTSD and I have heard of him before. On duty I’ll still take Buspirone but can’t do anything else really outside of Melatonin. Again not sure what’s better between Trazadone or Triazolam, but I’m getting one of those for off duty. I’ll see how all this goes and work it from there. I go see therapist next week. My ambulance service pays for therapy due to PTSD
I read every reply and thanks to everyone
Wife said it’s Trazadone. I was kind of hoping the other because I get bad restless legs and heard Triazolam works on that good.
