No I want more responses from women. All we men can do is speculate, y’all are the ones with real insight.
I’m not trying to denigrate women for wearing it and I hope it doesn’t come off like that. I feel like you shouldn’t have to wear makeup or feel like you have to wear makeup to be pretty.
The standard of beauty that’s been hyped up by media over the years is fake. Not even the models themselves look like they do on the cover of magazines. Then girls see that along with their moms telling them to put on makeup and it makes them feel like they’re not good enough as they are. And that’s a fricking shame.

Some people are. Men and women. Makeup doesn't change that. These people are in the minority though, most people are decent looking

Well hopefully you understand at least my reasoning.
She also hated that I had curly hair so I wasn’t allowed to wear it curly til I could drive myself to school.
I’m ok with people seeing me without makeup, I go out all the time like that, but I feel better about myself with at least mascara and the brow fill in. I don’t think it changes how I look that much.
My glasses? That’s another story. Won’t let people I haven’t known for years glimpse that.

But who says what’s ugly or not? Yes you can have a personal opinion but you and everyone else’s opinion can and is somewhat skewed by media and others.
In different parts of the world, beauty isn’t necessarily the same as it here in the US and that’s due to conditioning.

I love women, probably too much for my own good. The job of the media is to make you insecure so you'll buy products to feel better about yourself.

Is this the thread where these clueless men post pics of what they think are women with no makeup....but it’s really just a pic of a woman that has mastered the art of applying makeup to make them look like they aren’t wearing any are just that naturally pretty?
